Bow Valley DEI’s workshop aims to create a common language and understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion concepts as they relate to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. 

We will define terms and speak to the experience of being 2SLGBTQIA+ in Canadian society, with an introduction to unconscious bias and queer microaggressions in the context of the uniquely challenging time we find ourselves in. 

The workshop will give you ideas, advice, and guidelines for serving your 2SLGBTQIA+ guests, staff, and community in an inclusive, friendly, and respectful manner — making a real, active difference against rising hate. 

Bow Valley DEI and the Bow Valley Pride Network have worked together to create a workshop with a challenging, open, engaging, and friendly atmosphere where questions are encouraged.
